Below we have added the Rich Text Editor Control for the Description field in the Case Form.

The control within the form with all the options.

We didn’t had the rich text editor control in 2020 Release wave 1.

  1. Thank you, great post. I’ve tried this on a form and am curious how you can set this to be disabled via javascript. Using the standard setDisabled, the field shows a lock, but is editable and changes are saved. Any hints/insights would be appreciated! Thanks!

  2. I like the new RichText editor. Unfortunately the RichText formatting is gone when generating a Word document using a Word template. In the Word document the text of the RichText field appears but without any formatting. Images are gone completely.

  3. I am facing a weird issue with this control. I have couple of this same control in different tabs of a single custom entity form. The problem I have is, when I tried to disable all the fields in the form, the control still is enabled. It is not behaving same all the time. Sometime it works and when I toggle between the tabs it get enabled back. Do you face such issue with this control?

      1. Last time I changed it to the different control and workaround it. But now the control is updated with those fixes. Which version of CRM are you using now that you got this problem?

  4. I am using rich text editor control in one of my custom activities. It works great but when I view the data/column in a TImeline control or in a View, it shows HTML tags. How can I remove those HTML tags from View like OOTB Note Description field?
