Hi,
These are the steps we followed for using crm 3.0 callouts in crm 4.0
In one case we upgraded our crm 3.0 to crm 4.0,
We had to put our crm 3.0 callouts in the following path
C:\Program Files\Microsoft CRM\Server\bin\assembly
We also had to put Microsoft.Crm.Platform.Callout.Base in the GAC.
Followed by an IISRESET
In second case, we had a fresh installation of CRM 4.0.
We had to put our crm 3.0 callouts in the following path
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Dynamics CRM\Server\bin\assembly.
Followed by an IISRESET.
And things worked fine for us!!!

Normally for CRM 3.0, we set callout.config. How are we going to do that for CRM 4.0. Will the callout works fine without callout.config?

If you have created plugin you can deploy it using plug in registration tool.
As for callouts you need to deploy them at the location …/bin/assembly and a callout.config file is must for the callout registration.

Hi. I wonder if callouts works fine while upgrade crm 4.0 (with old callouts from crm 3.0) to crm 2011 or it is necessary to rewrite code of callouts to plugins ? We planned do upgrade from 3.0 to 2013. I read of upgrades like this but I can’t find something about callouts.
